Regardless of how much everyone says "It's just a web board", there are some very real relationships that you are fucking with. Relationships that were started and grew on the touchstone of the OWB. Taking it away is akin to telling a group of friends that they aren't allowed to see each other anymore. Sure, we can call, but the whole dynamic changes and it's not the same. I get that you have your reasons to do it. Money, time, manpower, whatever. I get that. But you're showing all the compassion of a nazi death camp scientist. If you don't understand that for some, this move is a traumatic experience, then why do you pretend to care about any of your fans. Or do you really just care about the ones that fuck you in the ass with their heads? And our money, of course.
But then again, I could be reading this all wrong. Maybe you're bored with the eternal ass-kissing and want to see something interesting for a change. Maybe you're being the tough love parent, doing it for their own good parent. Maybe this will be a growth experience for all of us. Maybe the Utopia you envision will come to pass and we will all have fun. It's to be expected that major changes, for better or worse, will be met with savage resitance.
Maybe I'm just in a pissy mood and you're a convenient target. Maybe I'll get banned. But at least I said my piece and I feel much better.
