: : Fuck you, you fat fuck!

: I think you changed his mind with that one.

Wasn't trying to change his mind. Just speaking my mind. And since my opinion isn't one of a sycophantic (I'm sorry, I used a big word) fanboy, I suppose it's not really worth anything around these here parts.

: Were I the type to be easily offended, comparing the man who pulls the plug on a wwwboard to a Nazi death camp scientist might have sent me over. But I -am- digging the, "why do you pretend to care about any of your fans" bit. That's cute. Joel Schumacher expresses overwhelming LOATHING for his fans because he hasn't even got a wwwboard.

It's a goddamned good thing that I wasn't talking to you then, isn't it. Of course, I think I could more than handle you being offended. I've offended much more interesting people in my life. It's still true that he doesn't really give a shit. He was going to do it anyway, so asking us what we thought about it and pretending to give us a choice was an asshole way to do it. It would have been a much more stand up move to just say, "Hey, we're gonna turn off the other board next week."

: Seriously, I think your indignation is adorable.

I think he acted like an asshole. I'm telling him so. My opinion doesn't mean shit in the grand scheme, but at least I've said my peace. I'm a fan of the work, but not a fan of the man at the moment.

: And if they don't, well, I guess it's really no great loss. If your fleeting net-friendship isn't strong enough to survive the loss of the View Askew Productions Other Board, then why should anyone he be made to feel guilty over its disintegration?

We'll all land somewhere, talk on IM, find another board, maybe even set up our tents here, wherever. We'll find another IHOP, I'm sure. But we'll always remember the otherboard. Sometimes fondly, sometimes not so fondly. Whenever you care about something/someone you'll always feel the absence when it's taken away.

: Anyway, it'll all be okay in the end, champ, so buck up.

Thanks old boy, you've been a great help.
