from an uneducated back woods nobody, I bring forth this observation. Kevin chooses not to branch out into unfamiliar grounds outside of Ben, jay and his friends because by always including these characters his movies will never be more than second rate. He sets himself for an expected failure so that if he was to put his actual very talented skill on the line away from his comfort zone, failure would crush him. I know the backlash I will receive from this, but fuck off. That's what this is here for, to express our opinions. So scream yell bitch and moan, do whatever makes you feel better as Kevin continues to do what makes him feel safe. thanks
