I completely disagree.

: from an uneducated back woods nobody, I bring forth this observation. Kevin chooses not to branch out into unfamiliar grounds outside of Ben, jay and his friends because by always including these characters his movies will never be more than second rate. He sets himself for an expected failure so that if he was to put his actual very talented skill on the line away from his comfort zone, failure would crush him. I know the backlash I will receive from this, but fuck off. That's what this is here for, to express our opinions. So scream yell bitch and moan, do whatever makes you feel better as Kevin continues to do what makes him feel safe. thanks

~~ I think Kevin made these people into what they are. I think most of the actors Kevin has worked with have tremendous skill or potential. I think Lee is an amazing actor and I think its a great idea to have him in as many movies of Kevins as possible. Affleck can be good, but my favourite movies of his are the ones where Kevin directs him. Actually I think both Lee and Affleck would continue to choose crappy roles if they didn't every once in a while decide to work with a friend. And that working with a friend comes off on screen because they both seem to do that much better with Kevin directing them. And if you are referring to Kevin going back to the same characters (like Jay, Silent Bob, Banky, Brodie, Holden etc.) and using them in the same movies he is moving on from that as we speak.
