I know the backlash I will receive from this, but fuck off. That's what this is here for, to express our opinions. So scream yell bitch and moan,

You're here to add a little excitement to your pathetic life by going to a message board and badmouthing the owner of it. You expect a horde of people (what? 10, 15, 20?) to answer your ignorant 2 minute "review" of a man's career to make you feel like you're somewhat important.
You're truly sad.
I don't even care to rebut your half-assed "points", but that may give you the illusion of some sort of fanboy "denial", so here we go.

1) :from an uneducated back woods nobody
First sign of idiocy, you probably think you'll never be someone that matters until E! talks about you. It's sad because that will never happen with you, and you're wrong about its importance.

2)branch out into unfamiliar grounds outside of Ben, jay and his friends because by always including these characters his movies will never be more than second rate

Ben is a great actor, and ads important value to Kevin's movies, is he supposed to hire bad actors? Other great directors hire people they like, Oliver Stone, Steven Soderberg, PT Anderson, the list goes on.

3)He sets himself for an expected failure so that if he was to put his actual very talented skill on the line away from his comfort zone, failure would crush him.

Not taking risks? The man risked losing thousands of dollars by financing himself his first movie, then he made a movie that CRITICIZED CATHOLIC FAITH. By the way, None of Kevin's movies has lost money, NONE.
