: 2.It wasn't really a view-askewniverse completing movie. I thought this was going to be all bout old-skool VA stuff, lots of Walt-Flanagan, Hockey, William, Julie Dwyer's death, fingercuffs, the mall, etc... all the ties that link the movies together. There were tons, but in differant and unusual ways, like the Star Wars references. I just felt that there were too many new ideas across, like the whole slew of girls, planet of the apes- which was a perfect impression.

We all love these films, and thus require CLOSURE. JSBSB gives none. All we get are a few scraps thrown at us, and a whole lot of Kevin doing what he obviously loves to do: Make the biggest splash possible.

And nobody can dispute that that's what he loves to do. Look at his Daredevil run: eight issues, and he manages to kill of two big characters. It's not just him, cause everyone's doing it now. Have you noticed the number of comic book fatalities in the two years? Nasty death toll, even before you add Genosha (Yes, Grant Morrison liquidated the population of Genosha, all save Emma Frost). But still, Kevin loves to use and abuse the power he's given. It is his way.

Yet, if he's going to end the Askewniverse, he should at least give a bit of closure. But, as you said above: nothing. No more Julie Dwyer, no bringing together of disparate plot threads. The best we get is Steve-Dave telling Walt to stop saying, "Tell him, Steve-Dave," and a really confusing line where we find Banky is now making Hooper his bitch? Oh, and we did get to see the Jones sisters, but that's the limit to what we see.

And considering this film is a sequel to the subplot of Chasing Amy, it was treated with a lot less respect than I had hoped.
