: Then again, did anyone expect/like the ending to Mallrats where he tells the future of the characters? That was totally against View-Askew logic. Oh Well. And the original ending to Clerks where Dante gets shot? No way, bad endings. J&SB-SB had a great ending- It did make my day when Jay got with Justice.

I liked the ending of Mallrats. It was funny. My question is what happened in between Brodie's talk show career and his ownership (and a clerk) of a comic store?

And how is it against View Askew logic? Since when is there such a thing as "View Askew Logic"? View Askew logic has Kevin writing and directing a really cool drama and then damaging the whole thing over by ruining everybody's relationships by showing us that deep down, HOLDEN IS A TOTAL FUCK.

And considering the ending of Clerks that you didn't like was the original one, that makes it the definition of "View Askew Logic."

Really, when you think about it, View Askew Logic is the internal machinations of Kevin's mind. It includes how a couple of small-town skid drug-dealers have Batman's grapnel, and how they can later use bongs and a dildo as actual lightsabres.

But as to JSBSB having a great ending. If it is, in Kevin's mind, then final ending, then it isn't a good ending at all, both for us as fans, and for the movie, where, if there's closure, we would be told where Jay and Bob ended up. They get tons of money, they blow it all, and then what? No more Quick Stop, Jay has to wait for Justice, and Bob's going to lose his hetero-life-mate. They don't settle again. This has left it open for one more film, "Return of Jay and Silent Bob".

Hey did anyone notice that both The Empire Strikes Back and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back are chapter five of the series?
