: Just because my parents were taking care of me then does not mean I do not/did not have the right to take offense that they took something of mine WITHOUT saying anything. If back then they said we're going to use some of your money to buy a car (which btw was a piece of crap '72 Plymouth Satellite), I would have had no problem with it whatsoever. But they chose to go behind my back with it.

Right. You were 10. That's a completely sound age to be deliberating about financing decisions. It's not so much doing it behind your back as you not having the capacity to make the decision.

: With the logic that I should not complain since they provided for me, you could easily say I should not complain that they take money from paychecks I earned at various jobs. Whether the money's given to me or earned by me, it's still mine. If someone needs it for whatever reason, the least they could have done was say something. So shut yer yappin'.

How did children get to be so whiny? Your parents probably spent over $100,000 over the course of your childhood to feed, cloth, transport and educate you. Until you turn 18 you are under their guardianship. That really means, under your logic, you should owe them a hell of a lot more than what they "took" from you.
