The thing that irked me was that Black Mamba said of O-Ren Ishii, "At twenty-five, she did her part in the killing of nine innocent people, including my unborn daughter in a small wedding chapel in El Paso, Texas. But on that day four years ago, she made one big mistake... she should've killed ten."

The problem with that was that when the police showed up to the crime scene, they didn't know that she was still alive until she spat, meaning that she was included in the original said nine persons who died. Thus, they didn't make the mistake of not killing ten people, but the mistake of not killing nine.

Furthermore, an unborn child in police reports aren't seen as a person, yet, are they? So, wouldn't that drop the total to eight?

I don't know why I caught that or why it resonates so much, but it really threw me off. Otherwise, I'd say the film was perfect. The gore wasn't too over-the-top, the dialogue was extremely well done and each scene had me in awe of the perfection that I was witnessing.
