Not everyone from NYC is rude....I always say my pleases and thank you's. Also, excuse me's when I'm walking around people.
What I will give to the out-of-towners though is that sometimes, they do not walk fast enough. Or are afraid to walk over the sidewalk grates. I swear, unless you are wearing high heels, those things are perfectly safe. Not gonna cave in!
