My Review.

I bought the flick based on the fact that it's Star Wars. And that it has had great special effects that I care to learn about. God Bless, Disc 2. Because the movie was one of the worst films I ever had to sit through for 2 hours and 15 minutes (I watched the clock alot). The romance between Anakin and Padme were not only boring but very overdone. I saw things that had been already explored before (including the beginning of the film that looked more like it was a rip of Ridley Scott's Bladerunner and not an homage if that was the intention).

I liked the special effects and the perfect sound but that can't save a weak ass script and very clichic dialogue. When I think back to the great space operas he did before "A New Hope" and "Empire Strikes Back" it makes me wax nostalgia and not look forward to the future. George Lucas should direct someone else's (maybe a fans version of) Episode 3 and not his own because he needs to go back to writing school.

I will wait for a while before I do see Episode 3 and if people think it's near what the pay off should be I might give it a chance. Otherwise I'll wait for the DVD just for the special features.
