almost all behavior is learned.

The idea that a child can miraculously spout personality and values is kind of outdated.

So, who do you think would be the best person to learn behavior from? Since if children were left alone to be themselves they would be very primative creatures.

The very idea of human cultural "uniqueness" is derived from learned behavior and the idea that being the same is wrong or uncouth.

To truely be yourself is to choose your own role model and mimic the behaviors of those you connect with, creating your own path when you can't find your way in the ways of others. Still, you have to start somewhere.
