For such a great website why is the board so crap?

Just curious why the old school wwwboard? This is the same board viewaskew's been running for 4 years now if I remember correctly. How about a little graphics and not having to manually erase whatever the last guy typed when you want to reply. Just a thought. Gulp here come flames....
