Cuz it's not as easy as you imply. There are times when people sleep and there is spontainious board activity. There are posts left unresponded to because:
a) people are asleep
and
B) you cant or don't want to respond to every post
It's really just a matter of who wants to/has the time to, so therein lies added incentive to make people wish to read your posts by making them interesting and making it something that was not asked by someone before by checking the summaries. That's all it really is.
