I have been readin all of these posts. I am sickened to the very core of my soul by some posts from the "younger generation" not all but some.
How can you EVEN THINK of references to movies similar to this situation??!! THat is fantasy..a director calls cut the actors go home and someone cleans up THE MINIATURES. The little scale model buildings blown up in a studio. It saddned me that your only knowledge of Pearl HArbor comes from Afflecks movie. It has been awhile since i have been in public school. Do they not teach history any,more or the significance of it?
People wondering about the MAdonna concert cancelled in LA...if comic books are coming out, I want to THROW UP. Do any of you know what REALITY is??? You are a generation raised on the internet view life through screens, TV, video games computer monitor. GO OUTSIDE there is reality out there. Putting too much faith into a machine all your time spent with your computers and machines. Well heres a shocker..if shit goes down and electricity is no longer operable...NO MORE COMPUTERS you have to deal with REAL HUMAN BEINGS!! What would you do? How would you survive in a state of emergency? When you pick up your cell phone...they dont work.
What if your home was gone..government was gone and you had to forge for food. You know how to download your email but can you grow a garden? Can you grow food? YOu cant download food, no more computers, sorry.
Quoting movies as bases of your reality scares me. A movie is over in 2 hours you go home to your comfort of modern day technology do you ever stop to think just what if these daily luxuries like running water and turning on the light switch were no longer there. Asking about COMICS????!!!
So to me the even greater tragedy than what happened today is the people who dont grasp the magnamity of what is going on. What will the future be like when those who think that today was "COOL" are now in a position to prevent these things? Lets start a war it would be cool? Put down your Playstation and pick up a few books. Learn about the nature of man, war and our use/misuse of technology.
I am so upset now I am shaking. i wanted to type more. I have many relatives in Manhattan that I have not heard from yet and people are thinking about movies and comics.
