i had no idea you went back *that* far...
its in the nature of every generation of viewers (viewers of anything, really) to pine for yesteryear, even when their concept and memories of yesteryear are rose tinted at best. the new star wars movies arent as good as the old, this board isnt as good as it used to be, cartoons arent as funny as they once were, garanimals arent as coordinated as they originally were, etc...
all we can do is bide our time until what is new now is old, so we can reflect back on how awesome dratch, fallon, and armisen were, as opposed to the new cast of flexdworg, gorak-b12, and the amorphous mass from the crab nebula...because lets face it, they totally suck.
