I mean, it's not like he's credible or anything-after all, this is a guy who:
1)right after trashing Jersey Girl, gave DVD recommendations to The Rundown and Beyond Borders
2)has in the past given thumbs-up reviews to such movies as 3000 Miles to Graceland, Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2, Coyote Ugly (What the fuck?), Life or Something Like It(Ditto), the Planet of the Apes remake, What Planet Are You From?, and, most astoundingly, Star Wars:Episode II-Attack of the Clones (mega-What The Fuck?)
3)most recently praised Taking Lives
and, 4), is probably best known for giving a thumbs-down review to Lord Of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring (don't know about the other two LOTR movies).
I've only agreed with Roeper on two occasions: 1),when he gave thumbs-down to Gigli, and 2), when he listed Gangs of New York (which is probably, with Office Space, one of the most underrated films ever) as the Best Movie of 2002. Other than that, he's a butt-hole.
