you're forgetting that not everyone absolutely hates Bush. Even if they disagree with him on certain things, one may not believe that he is the worst thing ever. And I'm not making assumptions about Barry or anyone else here by saying that, but I know for a fact that a lot of people fall in the middle and may not prefer anyone in this next election. And if that is how they truly feel, then who are you or anyone else to tell them how to vote? You do what you want, that's fine. It's your choice and your right vote for whoever. But you also need to respect other people's right to do what they feel. Stop trying to push your own agenda/opinion onto others. Someone who has examined the candidates and chooses not to vote has made an informed choice to abstain. That's totally different from just being lazy and not caring.

: It's because of behavior like that that we ended up with Bush in the first place. While I was no fan of Gore, I'd certainly rather have given him a shot than Bush. It's all well and good to make a statement, but when that statement means that we end up with a fucktard like this for 4 (and probably 8) years... you're making the wrong statement.
: I can understand feeling the futility of it. I can understand not wanting to vote for someone you don't fully back. But if you vote, it'll help make a difference between 4 more years of Bush, and trying something different. Not necessarily better, but at least different. And I find it difficult to believe it could be worse.
