Not to sound too much like an after school special, but something like amateur theatre can boost your self confidence. I do regualr poetry readings at this bar called The Cave and it really does help.

My face had to be bright red because it felt like it was on fire, sweat started dripping off my forehead, I may or may not have made small noises from the back of my throat...I dunno for sure.
