ahhh...I have embarrassed myself plenty. lemme see what comes to mind...
once, in a community college literature class, we were taking turns reading poetry. I completely froze and nothing came out when it was my turn. My face had to be bright red because it felt like it was on fire, sweat started dripping off my forehead, I may or may not have made small noises from the back of my throat...I dunno for sure.
finally, the prof asked if I would rather not read. I nodded yes and she moved on.
she caught me in the hallway after class an apologized for putting me on the spot. I know she meant to help, tbut that just made me feel worse about what had happened.
