Who makes the trailers?

Sorry if that is a dumb question, but does the director make the trailers or does the studio? Who ever made the JG trailer did a great job. If the movie is half as good as the trailer it will be awesome. On a side note, anyone ever see a picture of that guy who does the voice over on almost every trailer? What does that dude look like?
