there's the so-tender scene in Gigli...he's sleeping and she shyly
touches his tattoo.....
and the struck-by-lightning power of love between them all through
their moments in Jersey Girl.....and all the themes of true-love,
parenthood, family, grief & joy.....
that this should be preserved intact for "immortality"on film, and
break-up in the heightened p.r. papparazzi limelight that passes for
reality in infotainment times....
that the dragon of the press, perhaps conscious of its contribution to
their intrusive power in the sport of that hunt......might be influenced in
its response to the film....in one way or another by the break-up....that
the photos of their love-in-bloom should appear in our dreams and
ripple into our inside -skinny board tides.....
that the on-screen bliss (which was "real" albeit acted) should now
be distinct from the hot glare of the red-carpet and the terse press
release.....(which is "mask" albeit deep)....will the drama of their
love-story upstage the debut of Raquel?
and the way in which the quandry of this duo reverberates in the very
message of J.G. itself....
