: I'm a dog person, and I do recognize that pit bulls have gotten themselves a bad reputation - but it's not the breeds fault, it's the owners.
: If you get a pitbull from an actual legit breeder, and raise it correctly--you shouldn't run into these issues.
: It's entirely possible for someone to have a normal, non-aggresive pitbull.

We used to have a Pitbull on our street...the owners would forget to put it on the chain and it would run around our neighbourhood and bark at people. My neighbours were scared stupid. Then the owners had the bright idea to breed the pitbull with their rotweiler. The female rotweiler was alright at first, but after she had her puppies she tried to attack people, including me. Then the pitbull didn't seem so bad. The puppies, in turn, had to be gotten rid, as well as the mother rotweiler whom the neighbours had called animal control on every week for a good two monthes.

I'm not so good with big dogs anymore, I get kinda shaky.
