I'm a dog person, and I do recognize that pit bulls have gotten themselves a bad reputation - but it's not the breeds fault, it's the owners.
If you get a pitbull from an actual legit breeder, and raise it correctly--you shouldn't run into these issues.
It's entirely possible for someone to have a normal, non-aggresive pitbull.
