I saw the movie when it first came out at a cinearts theater. I have to agree with you, it was a brilliant flick. The acting, the story, the way it was put together was just all fantastic. And I loved the way the whole movie looked. It looked 'real', like you said. And, just incase you want to widen your film vocabulary, it's called non-linear story telling. Quentin Tarantino is best known for it. Have a good day.
