I don't have the original copies. I haven't seen the original Star Wars movies, un-special version, since I was about 6. The only ones I really remember well are the new ones.
They're just not as bad as everyone says. I mean I can see why maybe it's a little agitating, but all in all, it's the same movie.
The only scene I really loathed in the entire re-release was the added Jabba scene in the first one. And the only reason that one sucked was because it was obvious that was intended to go in place of Greedo's scene, and Greedo was a "we can't make Jabba move" afterthought. The dialogue is basically the same. It's annoying as hell.
Past that though, it's pretty much the same damn movie.
