This was inspired by something someone said in the thread below ("fuckin disgusts me")
I don't understand why people use the phrase "African American"....honestly....It's the dumbest thing...EVER. It implies that all black people are from Africa. Are they? No, not at all. There are plenty of black people in the world that live in or have descended from places OTHER than Africa.
Besides, I figure if black people can refer to white people as "white", then referring to a black person as a "black" person shouldn't be looked down upon.
In my opinion, it's simply a feature...like referring to a person's hair color...callign someone a blonde or brunette.
And please, no responses talking about how blondes or brunette's aren't discriminated to the level that black people are. I am a fairly well educated person, and I fully understand racial discrimination and it's ramifications.
