An uncanny resemblance

So I am home on Friday so I sit down with my mother for lunch while she is watching Days of Our Lives.
My mom isn't an avid watcher but she'll sit down and watch if its on, as will my sister.
Anyways I'm sitting there watching and this actor walks on and about halfway through the scene I realize something. It's Rachael Leigh Cook. I thought this to be strange as Rachael Leigh Cook is kind of mainstream and it I would have doubted to see her refer back to soap operas.
Attached to this post is the pic of one Rachel Leigh Cook.
So I look it up on IMDB and with a little help from my mom (giving me the name of her character because Rachael Leigh Cook wasn't in the cast list. Turns out it is not her but one Alexis Thorpe. Pic will be included on follow up.
