When Cassie and her brother, Rex, plummeted to Earth in a capsule, Shawn Brady and Belle Black were making out nearby. Belle and Shawn revived them with CPR and assumed they were aliens. Later on it was revealed that Stafano DiMera had engineered their births with the help of mad scientist, Rolf. Their genetic parents were Tony Dimera and Marlena Black. This was hard for John Black, Marlena's husband, to handle. He had been brainwashed by Stefano ages ago and had been his unwilling henchman. Then he found out that Tony Dimera was his half-brother.
Later, Rex decided to investigate his heritage. Because he is a super-genius, he analyzed the DNA of a bunch of people at a dinner party and realized that he and Cassie's parents were not Tony and Marlena, but actually Roman Brady and Kate Roberts, both of whom had been tormented by Stefano Dimera in the 80's and 90's. Cassie and Rex were terrified that Tony would find out, so they kept it a secret. Only Cassie, Rex, and Mimi (Rex's girlfriend) know the truth at this point.
I watch Days of our Lives a lot.
