I'm wide the fuck awake, and torn.

Watched Super Troopers with the commentary on instead, because I didn't have Lock Stock in my room, and didn't want to get up. Super Troopers is a damn funny movie though, made for $1.2 million. And I got to thinkin', if I could get that small (in relative scale to say, Armageddon) a budget and make my movie look as good as they did (good as in not looking like it was shot with a VHS camcorder), then I'd be pretty happy.

Then I got to thinkin' about whether or not I should even make my movie at all. I'd still make *A* movie, just perhaps not that one. If anyone's on the board right now, gimme your thoughts on these two ideas...

The first is about three pro wrestlers and their cameraman driving around the country on an independent tour as a favor for a friend. It relies alot on funny dialogue, but other than that, there's not much of a plot. Plus, I'm not sure I'm that funny.

Second is a completely different concept - in 1992 or whenever it was, the Rodney King riots went way out of control and the country (followed soon by the world) degenerated into total chaos for a few years, crippling all authority until the bounty hunter system was reinstituted. The primary heroes would be a team of four hunters with inside reffy, comic book character names, and the villain would be a rogue preacher who happens to be a cannibal on the side.

Now, just by the second one's pitch being longer than the first, that should make my decision for me. But I'm still an insecure little opinion whore. The plusses of the first idea? It'd cost far less, and if it turns out bad... hey, it's my first movie. I could probably get more money based on an idea like the second though.

Anybody's thoughts? Anybody even around?
