All of those arguments were addressed. You don't leave the goddamn country fatherless, dipshit. Did we leave fucking Japan fatherless? Afghanistan? Fucking East Germany? No, Japan and Germany are two of our biggest economic partners these days, because we established a system where they could rule themselves, and we're trying to o the same thing in Afghanistan; But there we have the problem of every fourth person hating us because some asshole is perverting his religion to manipulate his followers. Funny how religion can be used against its own followers. You're saying you'd be willing to risk a nuclear war in 10 years to avoid a ten-week sweep of a ruthless dictatorship? Are you that short-sighted? Problems don't go away just by hoping a madman can come to grips with the rest of the world.

Secondly, those "pantywaists" that only served a year in the National Guard (actually you can't only serve a year in the Natioanl Guard), also spent ten years in schools with a higher annual tuition than your mortgage and have cleared all the checks against their appointment. The President didn't jsut say they're okay, so did the 500+ representatives and senators, and the Supreme Court didn't have a problem with them, either.

By the way, the Biblical reference was just for those scripture-quoting pacifists that seem to forget what context their scripture quotes should be taken in. I spent 10 years in Catholic School, I know a lot about the Bible, and I know a lot of the Bible is fictionalized, but nearly everything has a grain of truth to it. That's for another post altoghether, I'm not going to get into theology right here.

This is a philosophical, moral question. Do you believe in the unalienable rights of human beings? If so, then how can you be opposed to a war that would free EIGHT MILLION PEOPLE (That's a New York and a half) from the crush of a single iron fist? Just because we're Americans doesn't mean we shouldn't want better things for people that aren't.

Seriously, can you honstly say you WANT these people to live like they do? We are the modern Rome. The poorest among us are better off than 90% of the world, and that's no exaggeration. I hate arguing with people that have no concept of what its like outside North America and Europe. Did you take sociology? Economics? Civics? Do you read the world news? The rest of the goddamn planet's got it a lot worse than you and me, and if we can do something to make it a little better for that many people, you think they'll resent us for it? You think Saddam Hussein is a father they actually want? You take newsfeeds too literally, I guess. They say how Saddam is such a punishing dictator... yet they organize rallies in support of him. Seems curious, no? How many people do you think are there because their families will be murdered in fron of their eyes if they don't? I wish I were exaggerating. Go, you're making me longwinded, too. I'm usually very succint, but this is such a complex issue that I have 20 thoughts running around my head, and its hard to put them together without a little pre-writing. In any case, there is another portion of my agument. If you care to reply again, I will be happy to refute any point you make, unless you can finally come up with a good one.
