because if she is a strong woman, she will do opposite of what you tell her just to piss you off. then rub your face in it and dump you. hell she might even cheat on you cause you tell her not to.
your best bet is to tell her about this guys history. (is his history about ALL girls or just girls hes 'involved' with? if its just ones hes involved with, you shouldnt have anything to worry about). once you tell her about the guys history, let her be a grown up (which she is) and make up her own mind. if she then still gets hurt, be the better man and be there for her, just dont say 'i told you so'.
: OK, so last night I'm sitting at home, and my girlfriend's cell phone rings. Turns out, it's a guy she works with, and whom I used to work with. Now, I've known this guy for 10 years. And, without going into much detail, I can say that he's not very smart, has a history of mistreating women, and getting himself into trouble.
