: -Actually, I have only been here a few days. It just struck me as the same situation that I have seen at other sites I have visited over the years.

In other words, you were talking out of your ass.

: It all basically comes down to people talking to someone differently than they would if that person was standing in front of them, and possibly being bigger than them. Or, at least I hope it is different from the way that these folks deal with people in "real" life. It seems cowardly to me.

Before I was kidding, but that's really idiotic. The idea that everybody should speak to everybody else in exactly the same way regardless of medium is stupid. Communication in real life is based on a vast number of things. If you tried to talk to somebody on-line the way you did in real life, then how, exactly, would you convey body language? Noises? Those are just two examples.

: -I was only making a character reference, being that she has taken shortcuts, and may not have the talent that every child has bestowed upon her.

So she's a bad person because a record company thought they could make a star out of her? Jeez, man, lighten up on your integrity-meter a little bit.

: -Well, at least I don't think I am an idiot. I never said that she hadn't performed "live", I only said that she didn't happen to do it before she released an album. And, I actually caught a piece of that show at my parents house, and I assure you, she was there, but a machine was singing for her...MILLI VANILLA STYLE!!!! So, maybe you should read all of a post before insulting me.

I would think you'd be embarrassed to watch it. And how, exactly, does it make her a bad person if she didn't sing live before the album came out, or even if she can't sing at all? How is that a character flaw? You're saying she "took shortcuts" ... why the fuck shouldn't she? Are you saying that if a record company said, "Hmm ... I'm gonna make you an international recording star ... and you won't have to sing publicly before the album comes out, nor sing all of the parts, and whatever your voice is doesn't matter." What kind of moron would turn that down?

I'm not even saying that this is what happened, but since you seem so sure it is and I, having no knowledge of Jennifer Lopez's singing career, am in no position to argue. I'm just asking, what kind of moron would turn that down? Especially when the person can certainly dance well enough to be doing it professionally -- and publicly, which is to say, paying whatever dues you seem to think she owes -- for as long as she has.

: I wish her the best of luck under Kevin's direction. She needs it.

I can't understand people who hate people they don't even know as much as you do.
