: So, I nabbed the first issue of Green Arrow (Kevin Smith's Quiver that is, not the original first issue) just recently and I gotta say, I'm kinda torn. Batman and Superman read more like Kevin Smith's own characters than "themselves" and the whole thing seemed kinda slow paced. On the other hand, I hear it gets *REALLY* good later on. Has anyone read the whole series, is it worth picking up? It's a little off-topic, but I'd like to hear people's thoughts on the books. Thanks.

MOST of the issues in orig too.

It's a great story, and really does flow well from where it left off when Ollie died.

There's important introductions taking place in that first issue that you may not get the significance of if you don't know the series.
Don't worry about it - keep up with them and you will be richly rewarded.

I just found Green Lantern #110 -- from a few months before Kevin's Green Arrow started. Connor Hawke (do you know who he is?) is in it and talks about this feeling he's had that his father isn't dead.

You know, I think I'll head out to see if I can't find a few more old issues o complete my GA collection...
