Kevin, it just breaks own like this.

When you say you want to cast Jason Lee as Fletch, everyone goes "HOORAY", because we've seen many films from Lee where he has given great performances, in films you have directed him in, as well as other films like Almost Famous, Vanilla Sky, and Mumford.

When you say you have cast Jennifer Lopez, a whole lot of people go "WHAAAAAAAAA?" And here's why.

For the life of me, i can't think of a decent performance she gave other than Out of Sight. And that was Soderbergh for God's sake. The man can make a sack of flour turn out a good performance. Most of J-Lo's films have been really contrived pieces of utter flatulence. Maybe she has range, maybe there's more talent there than any of us have seen. And that the key phrase: "Any of us have seen".

Is it cause to write you off. Nope. If everyone here is truly a fan, they'll see it with an open mind. But i do understand everyone's reprehension. I mean, go to www.imdb.com and check out her page. For christ's sake she has included all her awards show performances as performances on the database. I realize that this is probably her management that has done this, but i dont think you'll see "PResenter at MTV Movie Awards as HERSELF" on Meryl Streep's resume.

As for Scooby Doo, theres nothing wrong with liking it. It harkens back to this Star Wars mess. Scooby Doo was something made for us when we were kids. Now that were not kids, we expect the movie version to appeal to our adult tastes, rather than have the movie appeal to children, as it should. But you have a kid Kevin, and that makes people more understanding of a film like Scooby Doo. You can appreciate it because your daughter can enjoy it, and there might be enough there for someone over 12 to enjoy.

I dont plan on seeing it. Bourne Identity seems more my speed.

Oh well, thats my thought.

Peace
