It wasn't Scooby Doo. I watched part of Doo (I work at a movie theatre), and it seemed more like Spawn on crack than the lovable tongue-in-cheek romp I loved so much growing up...and still do. Unfortunately, gone were all the lesbian allusions and thinly-veiled pot jokes, covered with a horribly-done CGI dog and Sarah Michelle Gellar trying (and failing) to act like anything more than a whore.

Maybe I've just grown up a bit. Maybe I'm too cynical. Maybe I haven't watched the show enough lately, but it seemed like they were trying to hard to be witty. Remember the episodic episodes?
Mr. Johnson, the museum curator, hires the Gang to find a ghostly mummy that's haunting the Egyptian exhibit. The Gang is almost scared off twice, but the third time they unleash their cool plan, trap and unmask the ghost...who IS MR. JOHNSON. But NOOOO...Scooby had to RUIN THE WHOLE THING.

*ARGH*

At least Matt Damon had some cool fight scenes in Bourne.
