I agree w/ what you said about SJP, from what i've seen of the clips, I thought the whole making daphne into a kungfu expert was just a cheesy ploy to bring the whole buffy identity/popularity into the movie; they should've just let her play daphne straight. :'P
I still want to catch the flick tho., being Scooby is major nostalgia, and I think Mathew Lillard nailed the voice and the chemistry between Shaggy and Scooby Doo from the trailers I've seen.
