My question to the list of actors and academics on this list is: How
should we have reacted? Like an Ostrich, we could have gone on
with our lives and hoped no other terrorists with bullshit beefs with
Americans would notice they could bend over and do their worst and
all we'd do is smile. Or, we could have read a bunch of books and
argued on what to do until the next attack. Or we could make a TV
movie starring Ed Asner as Osama Bin Laden. How can you respect
any letter about a serious subject that lists Casey Kasem and Mos
Def as contributors? When Casey Kasem forms an original thought,

Well,lets see here. In Israel, they are having problems with Arab
suicide bombers. However, there have been NO Scottish suicide
bombers. No Scots. So, logically, giving a Scottish person the same
amount of scrutiny as an Arab person going through customs in
Israel would be considered dumb. Its so easy to be judgemental and
ultra-liberal when you have a goverment that does not kill you for
disagreeing, like in Iraq and China. In China, they have half wits roll
over you in tanks if you ask for more sauce on your egg roll.

Its funny, when enlisted men refuse orders in the military, it is
considered cowardice and treason. And I find it funny that they refer to
the "occupation" of the West Bank and Gaza. Here is a tip:
Historically, there is no such country as "Palestine". And Israel has
offered to help create a Palestinian state on more than one occasion,
which the PLO and Yassar "Dont blame me" Arafat refused. Why?
Because, when you get down to it, Yassar wants Israel destroyed.
Intellectual know-it-alls like Noam Chomsky rip Israel for not wanting
to be destoryed. Its fucking pathetic how quickly US Academics have
turned on Israel. They sit in their comfy classrooms ripping on Israel,
which is a tiny country surrounded by people who hate them.
Historically, Israel has more right to the region than anyone. I used to
think the Jewish people I know were paranoid about anti-semitism,
now I know what they are talking about. Now, lets get down to the
arrogant American Intelligentsias other reason.

Comparing a bunch of pot smoking suburban white kids who

LIVES on the line. Hippie kids in the sixties were looking for a way to

who,though afraid and not sure of the reasons, went to Vietnam

The reality was that we left Vietnam because we realized the only way
to win was to fight another 10 years or nuke it. Neither was an option
to follow through on. Though Vietnam was a clusterfuck, I would
rather fuck up trying to do the right thing(defending the freedom of
Southern Vietnam against Communist aggressors) than to do
nothing. Militarily, Clinton was a fuck-up(As seen in the recently
released "Black Hawk Down") but atleast he tried. Doing nothing
when you can is a sin.

Yes, because when you get down to it, the present situations revolve
around what these cheesedicks think. Thats what they do best, think
and pass judgement because they will never be put into a position to
make an actual decision other than whether to get soy milk in their
cappacino or to call their nephews for a bag of thai stick. Fuck them. I
do like Howard Zinn,however.
