PRODUCER WAS PASSENGER

David Angell, executive producer of the NBC television series “Frasier,” was listed among the passengers aboard Flight 11, according to his brother, Bishop Kenneth Angell of the Catholic diocese of Burlington, Vt. In a written statement, the bishop’s office said that David Angell and his wife, Lynn, were scheduled to return to Los Angeles after a family vacation at Cape Cod.

David Angell, who was a TV writer as well as a producer, won several Emmy awards for his work on “Frasier” and “Cheers.” (MSNBC is a Microsoft-NBC joint venture).

Daniel C. Lewin, 31, a co-founder of Akamai Technologies Inc. of Cambridge, Mass., died in one of the crashes.

Also aboard Flight 11 was Daniel C. Lewin, who was chief technology officer at Akamai Technologies, which provides support for high-traffic Internet sites, including MSNBC.com. Lewin, 31, was also a board member of the company he helped found, which launched its commercial service in April 1999.

American Airlines said it would pay $25,000 as initial compensation to the families of victims from Flight 11 as well as Flight 77, the plane that crashed at the Pentagon.
