Dan Aykroyd said that John was terrified of needles, yes, but shooting up isn't the only way to take heroin. John would have someone else inject him.

I don't think so. He was in poor health and taking a lot of drugs. The combinations of heroin and cocaine caused his system to collapse, and he died.

I loved John Belushi. He was a hero of mine when I was a boy (he died when I was 14 years old). Nonetheless, I don't think there's a big mystery here, or a conspiracy. Was it irresponsible for Cathy Evelyn Smith to shoot him up with heroin the night he died? Probably. Did he want her to do it? Absolutely.

Who bears the ultimate responsibility for his death? He does. Even Dan Aykroyd would admit that at this point. I think his friends and relatives were upset by "Wired," not because it was inaccurate, merely because it was so ugly and apparently glossed over some of the brigher parts of his life.
