That would have been awesome. So what if the mainstream audience wouldnt get it, thats not who Kevin wrote the movie for, he wrote it for the fans! The fans would have got the reference and loved it. Though the plant gag should be an exclusive Dante and Randal gag.

Because the way you wrote it, it was like I was THERE.

: Fuck Kevin Smith. When's your next movie coming out? If that one scene was any indication, any movie you make is going to be a sure-fire cure for the summertime blues.

: I think any reference to the Clerks cartoon would have been lost on the mainstream audience. The audience I saw it with didn't even seem to get any of the "Mallrats" references. And that was a global box office phenomenon compared to the cartoon.

: Hawk

: : I can see how Charles barkley could've made a cameo in JASBSB, it would've been hilarious, and a highlight of the film.

: : Banky crawls under the Bluntmobile and gets beside Jay and silent bob, thinking their Van Der Beek and Biggs

: : Banky: Mr. Van Der Beek, Mr. Biggs, I'm Banky Edwards.

: : Jay: Just who we wanted to see.

: : Banky: WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU GUYS DOING HERE! Wait, NBA All Star Charles Barkley.

: : (Camera pans over to see Charles barkley is sitting next to Jay And Silent Bob.)

: : Jay: Get the fuck out of here, dude!

: : Barkley walks off.

: :
: : That would've been a huge laugh in the film, also they should've used the "Why Are We Walking Like This?" gag when Jay and bob use the grappling hook.

: : Unless that is an exclusive joke for Randal and Dante.
