You know, I'm Kevin's age, and I didn't really "get" anything out of the Time stuff. I don't think that there were any inside jokes involved. Just that they were sort of a one hit wonder, and that they were around at about the same time as the hair bands (which explains why some of the more hardcore characters thought that they sucked).

I generally like the guy on SNL, but thought he was awful in J&SBSB. He seemed to be out of synch with all the rest of the actors. (Yeah, I know his CHARACTER was supposed to be a bit off, but I thought as an ACTOR he was off, too.)
