Really really dug the film. Felt a little short, occasionally felt like "Christ, I'm the only one getting the inside gags"... but I personally enjoyed myself alot.
It felt a little too pared down in editing... but then, I feel that about most films, not just Viewaskew's... so that might just be me and my personal attention span.
I'm a little too young to completely get the whole "Purple Rain Band" thing... and the audience I was seeing it with was all either hovering around the early twenties or the early forties, so everybody was pretty lost on that stuff... but that's a pretty minor point.
Reel Comedy gave away a lot less than I had expected... happily.
The gross-out stuff and the general pop culture stuff went over like mad, as well as the drug stuff. Personally, I lean more towards the dick jokes and less towards the fart jokes... but the guffaws were had by all.
Ya'll didn't convert me on Will Ferrell... it would take Jesus and John Lennon both rising from the dead and proclaiming him their Earthly champion to convert me on Will Ferrell... but he was used well.
Aw well, at least "Smalls" is an easier screenname to explain to people than "B. Buster".
Dug it lots, I'd pay to see it again.
