I don't care what Brian Lynch says... opening in August is the kiss of death and IS reserved for films that have tested badly and have no chance. Oooh, Scary Movie was such a hit at the end of August! LOL... all I see there is Mr. Weinstein selling a bad movie to a clueless audience... like Miramax knows what they're doing anyway. Their movies are over-hyped, over-produced. If "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" is a -BAD FILM- like Scary Movie, then sure, it can sell and make cash at the end of August. IF it's a Gimmick-Flick that's marketed like hell to the brain-dead MTV audience, then fine. But I hate to tell you, Weinstein ain't the man you think he is. He's a Prince fan, which makes him cool already, but moving your release date from the already bad date of August 10th to the worse date of August 24th ain't gonna do shit. What's the tough competition, American Pie 2? More like a brain-dead film, just like the first one. I may not be the smartest man alive, but I'm smarter than the audience Miramax is looking to attract... grow some balls & some sense, Mr. Lynch!

Where's my Skillet?
