: I definitely think Jim Carrey is over-rated. I did like him on In Living Color and in the Truman Show (and simon Burch where his ego was really placated) Never saw Man on the Moon. By that point I pretty much wanted to avoid Jim Carrey's movies. (I did slip and see me, myself and Irene. same thing) I think he just overracts. And that annoys me. He has the same schtick in every movie (barring the Truman Show and Simon Burch, possibly Man on the Moon) and that's basically Ace Ventura. I probably shouldn't have put him as low as Charleton Heston, because he's not evil and does have some redeeming parts. However, I do think he has some more work to do to become a good actor.
