well, there are are many ways to copyright work, all of which are legal.
the cheapest is to, send a copy of it to yourself using recorded delivery, and make sure you get a receipt and a certificate. when it arrives at your home keep it in a safe place and do not open it.
you could also take a copy of it to a bank or solictor, just make sure you remember which bank or solictor you took it too, and keep a record of the persons name you delt with.
another way is if there is some sort of copyright agency, in your country you could take it there, though, there WAS a copyright agency in england and it closed down,
best way to do it, is to send it to your self, using recorded delivery,
but whichever way you do it make sure that you work has the copyright sign on it, the 'c' in a circle, eg, copyright (c) ponette 2000. though of cause you wold have to use your real name.
