This message is for Vincent and Kevin. I am working on producing a short film with my friends. It is going to be about twenty-five minutes long. The screenplay has been written. So now its my job to try and figure out a way to get some money. I have a friend that has some connections at a stock brockrage firm. My question is this: How do we pitch a short film to a possible investor? Why would an investor invest in a short film rather than a full length feature? Right now I would think it would show them what we can do without risking a lot of money. If the film wins any awards in festivals that will give us notoriety and allow us to make something bigger. If the film won any cash awards the investor would pick that up too I suppose. What festivals could we send them to? I guess if we can't get investors we can shoot the movie on mini-dv, and submit it to festivals either on video or have it transferred to film. Anyway, thanks for reading. Any advice from anyone is appreciated too.
