Monica Hampton

Monica Hampton's work as a champion for independent film has spanned over eight years. She has worked in the New York independent film world since graduating from The University of Maryland, College Park, with a B.F.A. in Radio, Television, and Film. Fresh out of college, her film career began as a second assistant director on the micro-budget 35mm independent feature film entitled UNDER THE BRIDGE. Monica has gone on to work on over twelve New York based independent films, fulfilling the roles of assistant director, product placement coordinator, production coordinator, production manager, post supervisor, production accountant, script supervisor, still photographer and unit manager.

Monica currently works out of Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier's View Askew production office in beautiful Red Bank, New Jersey. She has worked with Smith and Mosier since coming aboard the production of Chasing Amy as the production manager/accountant and remaining on through post production as the post production supervisor/accountant. She worked on Dogma as the post-production supervisor and line-produced the Dogma New Jersey additional photography unit. Monica has also produced Vulgar, a micro-budget full-length feature film, for Smith and Mosier, which will have it's world premiere at The Toronto International Film Festival.

Monica is currently producing The Wrestling Movie, an independent feature film written and directed by Eric Weinrib. She is also producing Under My Skin, co-written by Mike Cerrone (co-writer of Me, Myself, and Irene) and written and directed by Glenn Ciano.
