11. 'Jersey Girl' poster from ShoWest

Posted by joblo.com and taken by a reporter for Latino Review - this early mock-up was displayed at ShoWest 2003 to promote 'Jersey Girl'. It is by no means a final poster, but gives you a good look at some of the cast. Can November come soon enough?

Wgat's with the weird haze between Jlo and Liv? Notice it's not around Jlo the rest of the way.

Posted by: Chris the Duck on March 7, 2003 02:03 PM

it's the after effects of j-lo perfume, cheap shot i know

Posted by: zim on March 8, 2003 11:19 AM

Posted by: tony on March 9, 2003 10:54 AM

Have no idea what was to be acheived by this pic. Even the little girl looks puzzled!

Posted by: natidread on March 9, 2003 04:06 PM

J-lo looks like a hot version of the Mom From leave it to beaver why is that?¿?¿?¿

Posted by: Mike Dizzy on March 10, 2003 09:41 PM

Soooo excited about this movie, although haven't always liked J-Lo's acting, but who knows? With Kev's writing, ANYONE can sound good...

Posted by: nixx on March 14, 2003 11:57 AM

That look on Ben's face is `cuz he's only making $3.75 an hour for his roll in the film. No points either, take a look at the future Ben!

Posted by: Eli on March 19, 2003 01:52 PM

this movie is gonna blow! he should go back to the stoner movies

Posted by: brando on March 30, 2003 03:22 AM

uuuhhh Ben made $10 million for his role in this film. His confused look may be a result of the charater he plays...pay attention you guys!!!

I don't get it. As a Graphic Designer and Illustrator I see nothing that would set this poster apart from anything else at theatres, except it is boring. The Jersey Girl title logo looks good(nice and simple.) It also tells me nothing about the movie, but then again that seems to be the standard in movie posters. I personally would have loved to see this poster Illustrated, think Back to the Future!

Posted by: Nick on May 12, 2003 12:44 PM

cant wait for the movie, very odd poster though, and very sucky tagline, lol.

Posted by: pedropleasure on May 17, 2003 06:54 PM

cant wait for the movie, one day after my birthday, ill be there on opening day. i love the stoner-dick-and-poopie jokes but im sure kevin and the makers dont want to make that over and over all their life, theyve already established a trademark, id like to see something (like affleck does)like "chasing amy". alot of people dont realise that all of kevins movies have been about getting the girl (to an extent)so with that said, im ready to see where kevin takes me next.

Posted by: dave fogle on May 22, 2003 05:59 AM

forget about who you thought you were,
and just accept who you are.

i like that

Posted by: dave fogle on May 22, 2003 06:01 AM

I have seen ALL of Kevin's stuff, um...movies that is ;)....and Affleck is awesome in all of them. Affleck and Liv Tyler had a pretty good chemistry in Armageddon...J-Lo, though, I'm not too fond of. (And where is his independce, anyways? He's becoming Ben-Lo now...her new BOYTOY!) BUT...being a Kevin Smith film...I'm positive this one will not disappoint! Looking forward to seeing it!

Posted by: Sheri on June 17, 2003 11:30 AM

this sounds like a great movie. whats up with all the ben-bashing, though? i know u all know hes the hottest thing since sliced bread...or sumthing like that...im definitely looking forward to this movie...but not really looking forward to seeing jlo in it. i hate that bitch. well cya later
-cjo
p.s. what i wouldnt give to be that little girl next to ben right now (sigh)

Posted by: CJo on June 24, 2003 03:31 PM

ben has that look because he doesn't get to pick his own clothes anymore, and I read the issue of people that gives away the brilliant twist in the movie and takes away any artistic credibility kevin could have earned by taking his audience for a dramatic ride and that adds a lot to the haze and placement of liv. I like it. on the bright side by the time the movie comes out nobody will remember this magazine at all. i could have seen it in january but god hates me. please bring it back to phoenix kevin so I can lie and say that I am not a fan

ben is hot and so is liv. why the hell are they using jlo to headline the movie? she's gonna die 12 minutes into the movie. and btw it's not about her and ben, it's about ben and liv.

Cialis finally gets the approval nod! Tough times ahead for
