: In the end, the Banky and Holden split up as a working team, but was this the case with their friendship? They obviously worked together for the "Death of Chronic" issue.
The "Death of Chronic" thing was probably the last thing they did before going their separate ways, just to put an end to their comic. Their friendship ended before their working relationship.
: I also don't understand Holden's resistance to the Bluntman and Chronic cartoon show, he told Allyssa he writes for a certain demographic (over and underweight guys who don't get laid) yet doesn't want a cartoon show?
Just because that was his demographic that doesn't mean he likes it. He hated doing a comic like "Bluntman & Chronic" but he needed money. Since the comic paid off he didn't have to extend what he didn't like in a TV show as well.
: Is one of the messages of "Chasing Amy" none of us are gay or straight, it just depends who you fall in love with? If Banky and Holden love each other in "that way", are they gay?
I thought the message of Chasing Amy was you should put "the individual ahead of their actions."
: Finally, did Jay and Silent get their money for the last issue of the comic book? (I'm assming the final scene in Amy took place months after "Dogma".)
I would assume they get their money when they return from their adventures in Dogma since Dogma starts right after they leave the diner in Chasing Amy. And yes, the final scene in Amy would take place about a year after Dogma since it's a year after the events in the diner.
Hope I helped answer your questions.
